Goethe-Institut Nigeria is providing support through its Supports And Connect Programme for Nigerian solo artists, collectives, and cultural experts to realize their projects. The initiative aims to empower young and emerging artists in Nigeria, giving them the opportunity to showcase their work.

Requirements for Goethe-Institut Supports And Connect Programme

The call is open for all artistic and cultural initiatives from all parts of the country and sectors. This year, the Support and Connect initiative is supporting projects across three categories of entries:

  1. Art and Culture Projects (up to 5,000 EUR each):
  • Solo artists or collectives with at least 3 years of professional experience.
  • The project idea must be developed and have reached a certain level of preparation.
  • The project should be implemented during 2024 and completed by December 10, 2024.
  1. Art and Culture Festivals (up to 5,000 EUR each):
  • Art and culture festivals taking place in Nigeria.
  • The festival must be at least in its third year.
  • The festival should be implemented during 2024 and completed by December 10, 2024.
  1. Art and Culture Travel Grant (up to 2,500 EUR each):
  • Individuals who have received an official invitation to a cultural festival/event/project in Germany or any African country.
  • The host organization is responsible for accommodation and other living expenses.
  • The travel must be during 2024 and completed by December 10, 2024.
